FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Mount Valorous gloves are developed for players who value premium materials, purposeful design, and lasting structure. Below are answers to the questions we receive most often.
What leather is used in Kaizen gloves?
Kaizen gloves use premium steerhide tanned in Osaka, Japan. The leather is selected for its firm structure, smooth grain, and ability to hold its shape while forming naturally to the player’s hand.
How firm is a Kaizen glove when new?
Kaizen gloves arrive firm and structured. They require a deliberate break-in and are designed for players who prefer a glove that maintains its shape through extended use.
What leather is used in ZenKip gloves?
ZenKip gloves use premium kip leather sourced and tanned in Seoul, South Korea. The leather is selected for its smooth feel, responsive structure, and balanced break-in.
What is the difference between Kaizen and ZenKip?
Kaizen is the firmer and slightly heavier of the two collections. It is designed for players who prefer a traditional, deliberate break in and strong shape retention.
ZenKip offers a lighter, more responsive feel with an easier transition into game use.
How should I care for my glove?
Store your glove in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and excessive heat. After use, remove dirt with a soft, dry cloth and allow the glove to air-dry naturally.
Use leather conditioner sparingly when needed. Avoid soaking, microwaving, steaming, or leaving the glove inside a hot vehicle, as excessive moisture and heat can damage the leather and internal structure.
Every glove is inspected for leather condition, shape, stitching, lacing, embroidery, and overall construction before fulfillment.
Are natural leather variations normal?
Yes. Leather is a natural material, so slight differences in grain, texture, color, and surface appearance may occur from glove to glove. These variations are normal and do not affect the glove’s performance.
What warranty is included?
Mount Valorous gloves include a one-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship, beginning on the date of delivery.
The warranty applies to the original purchaser with proof of purchase. Approved claims may be repaired or replaced at Mount Valorous’ discretion.
Normal wear, natural leather variation, accidental damage, misuse, improper care or storage, alterations, and damage caused by excessive heat, moisture, or aggressive break-in methods are not covered.
